Hello, my name is Isabel Villena, owner of Calma Therapy.
I am a certified EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Practiotioner and a Nia Mindful Movement Instructor.
I am a mother of four, settled in a beautiful English market town, near Cambridge, called Saffron Walden. I am Spanish, grew up in Valencia, and then moved to London in 2001, where I worked as a Foreign Lawyer registered with The Law Society of England and Wales. We moved as a family to Hong Kong for several years where I discovered EFT Tapping Therapy in 2007, and obtained the Diploma in Commercial Conflict Resolution (Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre).
As a mindset coach, I help people to release self-defeating thoughts into a new freedom emotionally.
How would you describe your family background? Do you have healthy boundaries in place?
Guiding my clients to release emotional baggage and find balance, quickly and easily, in order to cope better with it, and reset in the right direction, to gain greater confidence.
Are you really struggling while adapting to a new phase in your life, the same argument, more stress than you need? Your body is ready to fight, flight or freeze constantly in stress-mode? Repair mechanisms are available. You are not alone. This is normal conflict dynamics and can be soothed.
We all have hidden blocks to successful results in our lives. Find out what’s holding you back. Identifying your what is being will help you build inner resilience that allows you to think with clarity of mind because you are calm. This is possible with a simple technique that is easy for anyone to learn and works in a complementary way alongside other therapies.
My approach is a calm and collegiate one, mixed (where possible) with a healthy dose of humour.
I help you understand yourself, others, and the issues you are facing to boost your inner resilience and find greater confidence.
I have completed Advanced learning in self-compassion for Inner Child and Polyvagal Theory.
I am fully insured and DBS checked, and also have the Level 1 Safeguarding certificate of achievement.
EFT AND ME
EFT helps clear our own stuff from the past that keeps on affecting us in our daily decisions.
After some tapping sessions, I personally have done things that I literally thought were impossible before the session. As my own limitations, thoughts and fears were acknowledged and cleared, I was able to stop always being on auto-pilot and choose freedom combined with clarity of mind, improve my relationships to myself and others.
Honouring ourselves, listening and acknowledging where we are at, helps us to build resilience and cope better. Each of us is unique.
“Top reseach science paper published in Frontiers in Psychology shows that EFT Tapping is one of the most extensively researched methods in the entire field of psychology (with over 125 peer-reviewed studies and more than 300 total studies now published!). The authors conclude that Tapping is an effective treatment for a variety of psychological and physiological conditions that should be used in primary care settings, hospitals, and clinics.”
I started my career as a Spanish lawyer. I am a mother of four, settled in a beautiful English market town, near Cambridge, called Saffron Walden. I love helping others. I am a FoodBank volunteer, and also weekly as an peer supporter at www.lawcare.org.uk offering confidential emotional support to the legal community.
